WHAT DOES PPMA CHARGE FOR ITS SERVICES?
Physicians Practice Management Associates, Ltd. works on a consultant basis and bills a reasonable hourly rate for Review and Recommendations. Our ancillary services are billed by an hourly rate, flat fee or percentage depending on the particular service provided.
CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH CARRIERS
Do you know where or what your fee schedule is ? I think not. The majority of today’s practices are unaware of what they are getting paid and what formula is being used by the insurance companies. For evidence, check the percentage of Medicare you are being paid by Empire Blue Cross and United Health care. You would be shocked to find out that instead of paying Medicare plus a percentage (Medicare 2004 RVU’s times 125%), you are getting paid Medicare 2007 minus a percentage. In the case of Empire Blue Cross the percentage is 70% of Medicare and United Healthcare it is even lower at 62%. With the new Medicare cuts coming, your reimbursement will dwindle lower. PPMA has the experience and knowledge of having negotiated over 350 healthcare contracts with both major and minor insurance companies.
Not all practices qualify to renegotiate but there are different scenarios to help those practices increase reimbursements. We believe “if you don’t ask how do you know you can’t get it”.*Not all specialties and practices will be eligible for contract negotiations.
